A dog is an instinctively aggressive creature. In the wild, aggression came in very handy: dogs needed aggression to hunt, to defend themselves from other creatures, and to defend resources such as food, a place to sleep, and a mate. Selective breeding over the centuries has minimized and refined this trait significantly, but there’s just no getting around it: dogs are physically capable of inflicting serious harm (just look at those teeth!) because that’s how they’ve survived and evolved. And Mother Nature is pretty wily – it’s hard to counteract the power of instinct!

But that doesn’t mean that we, as dog lovers and owners, are entirely helpless when it comes to handling our dogs. There’s a lot that we can do to prevent aggression from rearing its ugly head in the first place – and even if prevention hasn’t been possible (for whatever reason), there are still steps that we can take to recognize and deal with it efficiently.

Get rid of your dog’s allergies once and for all.

Is this possible? Start by observation of any itching of your dog. There is a reason for your dog’s itching. Close inspection of the area may find fleas, or some irritated area. Cold water and shampoo can be all you need to do to eliminate the itching before it becomes a big problem.

With a decent diet, regular exercise, routine visits at your veterinarian and decent cleaning of the environment of the pet, allergies may never happen. With so many possible causes of dog allergies, it is the responsibility of the the pet owner to keep his dog healthy and clean.

What does well-being of the pet mean?
Well-being of your pet means a decent well-balanced diet, regular exercise, and continually visits at your veterinarian. Check that all of their shots are current. For some breeds, routine brushing and checking of the coat and skin can also forestall dog allergies from occurring.

"I studied human acupuncture about 12 years ago," Ferran said.

The diagrams on the Brooklyn, N.Y., native’s walls do not outline human anatomy though, but rather that of the canine. And although the veterinarian studied human acupuncture, using the practice on animals, along with other alternative and conventional modalities, has become his life’s passion.

"I went into this program because sometimes in conventional medicine we don’t have all the answers," said Ferran. "Being a holistic vet we are able to choose from two sides, the conventional and the complementary alternative side."

After graduating from veterinary school in 1983, Ferran practiced in New York before leaving for Florida in 1989 with his family. But it was conventional medicine that he began with while in Miami rather than alternative.

The domestic cat, which is named that way in order to be distinguished from other felines, is a carnivorous species, quite small in size. Humans often prefer cats for companionship, but at the same time for their ability to hunt rats and other vermin.

Cats are very useful in hunting down pests like the ones mentioned afore, because they are intelligent. When hunting a cat ambushes its prey, just like other felines, for example tigers and leopards. After that a lethal bite on the neck is delivered to the hunted, killing them instantly. This is because the spinal cord is crushed, massive bleeding is caused by puncturing the jugular vein or the carotid artery.
